INSPECTION: A programme of ANNUAL offshore inspection, testing, maintenance and replacement (end of life) should be established for all types of marine helideck perimeter safety nets and their attachment method to ensure compliance with the requirements of CAP437, OGUK, CAA/ICAO regulations. Our technicians will first liaise with the HLO on board to ensure there will be no disruption to flight operations for the duration of the inspection. They will conduct a comprehensive survey on each panel of net and will report any damage or deterioration that requires immediate action. Systems are also inspected for corrosion, loose bolts on the stretcher bars, untidy & dangerously protruding edge knuckles and barbs of chain link nets, cuts, abrasions, fraying and broken stitching on tape and rope nets, UV & bird guano degradation. All panels are given a unique, tamper proof security tag which is entered in our secure database to aid identification when the next annual inspection is due. A condition report including any recommendations will then be compiled, recorded and sent to the client with appropriate certification being issued for compliant systems.
